Meet the Owner

Welcome to Dantorion’s Catnap Inn, your cat’s positive home away from home experience! Dantorion’s Catnap Inn is a family-owned business, and we have lived in Las Vegas since 2000. My family has a combined cat ownership of 75+ years. The hotel’s name is a tribute to our first cats here in Las Vegas, Dante and Orion, who were two black cats born on our property. All the rest of our cats found us and became part of our family.

My motivation to open a feline exclusive boarding facility was based on my family’s experience in boarding our cats and observing what worked and what did not work (for our cats and for us). We experienced uneasiness when having to board our beloved family cats, knowing that they were uncomfortable in a different environment and away from their familiar territory. We also tried leaving them at home and had family or friends feed them and socialize with them, but sometimes unexpected things happen like the A/C going out. Later, we purchased webcams to be able to see them and talk to them, but our cats often hid in places where the webcams did not cover, and our speaker voices scared them. Finally, we resorted to more staycations to avoid the anxiety of boarding our cats.

In seeking a better solution for our needs, we researched and developed our ideal boarding – one focused on absolute care of our feline guests. The innovative care concept is based on the Fear Free Pets philosophy, which centers around the individual needs of each cat. The goal is to minimize the fear, anxiety, and stress of your cat while away from its home. Every detail in the cat suites is designed to help provide a calming environment for your cat and give you a peace of mind when faced with a boarding decision.
